Care for your Home Sacrament Tray.

How well a quality piece of crafted wood is finished is due to the final process of hand sanding and we take great care in ensuring that every item is free from any cutting marks before this process takes place. Only pieces free from these cutting marks will be used in our product and once the fine sanding is completed, we then use the centuries-old hand-rubbed wax oil finish that creates the wonderful smooth-to-the-touch experience only the best products can offer.

Wood is a natural and living product and each piece is unique in color and grain. Our Quality control allows variations in color and grain as this offers each piece an individuality unique to you. Over time the wood will age and often darken but this is a normal and natural process that adds to its appeal. Avoid placing your home Sacrament Tray in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause a color change to the area touched by the sunlight.

As a living product wood will move with changes in heat and humidity. The oil finish does not seal the wood and so the pores will try to balance the humidity of the surrounding air by taking in moisture in summer periods and giving up moisture in drier, normally winter periods. This movement will normally not be noticeable on such a small item however sudden changes in humidity caused by placing your Home Sacrament Tray on a central heating radiator may cause problems.

Maintaining your Sacrament Trays is easy. Immediately after use, using a soft, dry cloth remove any crumbs and water droplets. If the Tray is stained use a soft damp cloth, no soap, and this should remove any immediate stains.
